Taj Mahal Overnight Excursion

Many Indian travel agencies offer day trips to the Taj Mahal, but unless you are prepared for a long and stressful day we advice against it. The drive is long, about 5 hours on busy and not always smooth roads. When you arrive you will find thousands of tourists all heading to the Taj Mahal. You will push along with them for a swift look before driving back to Delhi. This makes for a long tiring day, even for a regular tourist. We have instead created a very special package that lets you experience the magnificence and magic of this fabled place. It is a big splurge, but if want to experience the Taj Mahal in all its mystical and romantic splendor, then by all means the price is worth this once in a lifetime experience.

Day 1 - Depart Delhi after breakfast to drive to Agra. When you arrive in Agra pause for refreshments and lunch before a visit to the Agra Fort. Afterwards continue to Amarvilas, an opulent palace whose rooms come with a stunning lump-in-your-throat view of the Taj Mahal.  After checking indulge in the grand view  from your private balcony.  Spread before you are palatial terraced gardens stretching town the hill from where it is but 600 yards to the Taj Mahal.  Although you may never want to leave your luxurious room you will  have to tear yourself away to enjoy a gourmet dinner this evening.  To end the day sip a Campari on your balcony or indulge in a Himalayan body wrap among the grandeur of the Amarvilas spa. 

Day 2 - Get up early to visit the Taj Mahal at dawn when it is virtually deserted and the first rays of the sun light up the glowing monument, a sight only very few tourist are privileged to experience. After touring the Taj with a private guide return to the hotel for a leisurely breakfast. You need not to hurry this morning and you can linger on your terrace a while longer and have lunch before your private car takes you back to Delhi.
